VET opportunities

Cavendish Road SHS provides students in Years 10, 11 and 12 the opportunity to study a variety of vocational certificate courses, as well as engage in traineeships and apprenticeships.
These courses are offered either by the school or through an external training provider such as local TAFE colleges. 

Available VET opportunities

The following opportunities are currently available to students.
Do you have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number?  From 1 January 2015 each student will need a USI to obtain their certificate or qualification from their registered training organisation. Find out more by downloading the Department of Industry USI poster (PDF, 115KB)

​Allied Health Careers Forum ​Princess Alexandra Hospital

​For any students interested in a career in the Health industry, Occupational Therapy, Nutrition and dietetics, Medical Physicists, speech Pathology and more…

The Princess Alexandra Hospital will be conducting information sessions and Interactive displays on the 3rd May, where you can find out more information on a career in Health.

This is available to all students in Years 10, 11 and 12.

To be able to attend, you must register online and nominate a session time, and also submit a photo consent form.

​Law Week - Justice Journeys ​Dept Justice & Attorney General
Law Week Justice Journeys is open to high school students interested in Justice related career’s, especially Legal Studies students.

It offers an opportunity to job shadow roles within the Department of Justice and Attorney-General and other justice-related organisations. Students share their experiences online.

Applications close March 12 with Law Week being May 15-21.
