Cavendish State High School’s Awards Night is on Thursday 29th October 2009. We are pleased to invite parents, students and friends to join us on the evening as we recognise and celebrate the students’ efforts this year.

Date & Venue: Thursday 29th October, Gateway Baptist Centre
Address: 1052 Mt Gravatt-Capalaba Rd, Mackenzie (see the attached map for directions)
Time: 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start, concluding by 9.00pm.
Student Dress: Formal School Uniform (Band uniform for performers)
Refreshments: The Centre’s Café will be open for business from 6.30pm

As indicated in the school prospectus, students must attend Awards Night if they are to receive any prize associated with their award. We also must insist that as a courtesy to other students receiving awards as well as performers, families attending the evening stay until its conclusion and not depart once their child has been recognised. Please note - the program will conclude by 9.00pm.

To assist us with planning for the event please return the tear-off slip, on the letter award recipients received last week, to the school office by no later than Thursday 22nd October. Trophies, prizes and certificates will not be available for students who do not return the slip by the due date.

Rehearsals for Awards Night will occur on Monday 26th October 2009 in the school hall.
