Year 10
All students will study English, Mathematics and Science, (in the form of two (2) electives). A further six (6) other Elective units (with at least 2 units within ONE (1) SUBJECT AREA) are studied.
Every effort is made to accommodate all electives selected by students. However, insufficient numbers of students wanting certain combinations will mean that students will sometimes have to choose alternatives.
Future Curriculum
We have currently established links with University of Qld, QUT, Griffith University & Metropolitan Institute of TAFE to offer additional subjects such as Biotechnology, Sports Medicine and Human Movements, Certificate II in Visual Art and Contemporary Craft, Certificate II in Community Recreation.
Year 11 & 12: Choose Six Subjects from a wide variety of choices.
(if student choices create viable class numbers)
Students who require Tertiary Entry need to select at least five (5) Authority Subjects.
All subjects listed are offered but, in the event of insufficient students selecting a subject, then it will be withdrawn and a new subject will have to be selected by students.
All Year 11 subjects may contribute to the Queensland Certificate of Education.
